ARTI TISI - The Definitive Collection
One of the biggest myths in the Melodic Hard Rock / AOR ground.
Does ARTI TISI exist?
Some people argue that this band was actually a well known group of musicians who never revealed their names.
False.
ARTI TISI (born Arthur Tisi Jr.) it's alive 'n kickin' and lives in NY.
Songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist, has been writing and recording music since the 80's.
Around 1988, join forces with keyboardist Al Greenwood (FOREIGNER, SPYS, J. L. TURNER, HOLY WATER) to write & record songs for a MHR/AOR album.
Most tracks were penned by the team Arthur Tisi Jr. / Jordan Stanley / Al Greenwood (check it Here).
With the skilled Al Pitrelli (DANGER DANGER, ALICE COOPER) on guitars, the result was this impressive collection of songs, superb melodic rockers with punch and melody.
Gossips of mainstream bands members (Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Deep Purple) participating in the studio sessions are uncertain.
In example, seems JR Blackmore (Ritchie's son) play guitar on 'A Little Too Early', or Joe Lynn Turner did backing vocals on 'Knock Knock' (this one was co-written and recorded by himself later), but I'm not sure.
Believe it or not, the album remains unreleased, incredible due the remarkable quality and production-wise.
The file containing this bunch of songs floating the web only has 11 tracks, known as 'Unreleased second demo'.
But there's much, much more recorded.
I have added 8 extra tracks from these recording sessions plus a mid nineties song ('Alone Forever').
In fact, Arthur Tisi Jr. has done tons of demos (I have 5), covering different styles like funk rock, modern rock, etc.
But what I offer here is the rockin', awesome kick ass stuff from 89/90.
Do yourself a favor, don't miss this collection...

ReplyDeleteThanks a lot my friend.
ReplyDeleteHey axerock
ReplyDeleteNice to read you mate!
This is awesome stuff! Thanks a lot!
ReplyDeleteI am Arti Tisi and it amazes me how everyone has stolen my fuckin music, all over the fuckin world. Just unbelieveable. I do exist enough to be pissed off at the ripoff that is happening but appreciative that people love the music.
ReplyDeleteI played with alot of fantastic musicians, and believe it or not can still sing the stuff. It would have been nice if someone actually showed respect to the guys (especially engineer Dave Greenberg, Al Pitrelli, Tony Bruno, Mark Hitt, Bob Held and Alan Greenwood) whom I mostly played with and deserve not having someone make money off of us.
If you like I can actually be reached at anoble225@aol.com thanks Arthur Tisi
I'd be greatful this dude even remembers your music mate and he is not making money off of it. He is letting others hear this otherwise unavailable music. If its money you want get the stuff up for grabs, I'm sure there will be some people who would buy and official release of this stuff. Good music, shame the actual person seems to be a dick if it is him. There has also been somebody on last.fm saying they are Arthur Tisi aswell
ReplyDeleteMany thanks

ReplyDeleteThis is for Arti Tisi. I've been trying to reach you on e-mail but with no response. My name is Aaron Joy & I'm Al Pitrelli's 'official' biographer & would like to interview you for my book on your work with Al & your music in general. I've got a chapter on every release he's done including yours, though officially unreleased, but when the only details I have are negative comments on forums like this ... well, I really want to get the real history & give credit where it belongs, let alone dig into that fascinating musical history of yours that nobody seems to really know. I'd like to let the world know of your music. I also have a monthly podcast I'd like to have you guest on. I live in Manhattan & can meet you if you're in the city - anywhere, anytime - or telephone, skype, e-mail. But, Arti, please contact me. It would mean a lot. I'm not joking but only write here because e-mail has failed. If you don't believe me you can - 1) call Al or Janie & they'll tell you who I am, 2) check out my podcast www.blogtalkradio.com/romanmidnightmusic, 3) e-mail me aronmatyas@hotmail.com, 4) visit my website/business www.romanmidnightmusic.org
ReplyDeleteI gave a listen and it sounds great. What did you do in Hamburg. When were you last here. Julia
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely the most horrid "technology" cio person ever. Interpersonal skills are horrific, except when in a corp meeting, where he flamboyantly throws a barrage of language so we can perceive him as knowledgeable. He is the 'Madoff' of the technology field. Walking around having conversations on his failed music years is appalling to say the least. Discrepancies in his background are now being scrutinized.
ReplyDeleteMost people who have worked with Arthur Tisi would probably admit that his ego is much bigger than his brain, whether or not they liked him. He is also viewed as the ultimate bully of a boss that abuses, yells, disparages, and finally fires anyone who has a disagreement with him. He also comes off as extremely arogant and is considered for the most part as a dishonest person. Most people would also say that his competence as a CIO is lacking true substance.
ReplyDeleteOn the positive side, he is well connected (probably through his father) and tends to last longer in the not-for-profit business sectors like the Met Museum
where incompetence and unprofessionalism are second hand to politics.
He failed trying to launch his own software companies. Although he has no real hands-on experience in the retail sector, he is currently or formerly employed as CIO for the Fairway market retail grocery business which was probably obtained through nepetistic connections.
If he is still there, it is only a matter of time when the owner catches on to the damage he causes to the business and is fired.
Given his past history of dishonesty, one must question the authenticity of what he claims to be his music.
This is his stuff, but you gotta be careful online. There's some Tisi collections out there - all taken from his demos that were passed to labels - that include demos that aren't him. Great backing back including Al Greenwood of Foreigner, Al Pitrelli of Megadeth, Joe Lynn Turner on backing vocals, John O. Rielly of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He did get screwed by Lita Ford though who has never given him credit for the demo that's here, but I think she's oblivious to who wrote the song.
ReplyDeleteIt's not Dave Amato - it's Al Pitrelli. Amato was in REO Speedwagon while Al was in Danger Danger and Alice Cooper.
ReplyDeleteWas that Arthur/Arti Tisi on MSNBC's "To Catch a Predator" series show?

UPDATED
ReplyDeleteI'm doing some writing about Tisi for publication and using this blog as a source, as it's one of the few. I've talked to Tisi, Pitrelli and have reached out to Turner. I was wondering if you could tell me how you got ahold of these boots and where you got your biographical info? I'm not a lawyer or anything like that. Just a writer tracking down everything I can. PM me if you can lend any info. AJ @ aronmatyas@hotmail.com
