Second..... the Halloween weekend is my sons birthday!
So sad. The Line Up makes me cry! :-(
I think I`ll never get the chance again to see all this bands together on two days. I hope that some DVDs will be published after that like the FM Gig...
There are no good live videos from Strangeways and Dare till today. Maybe this is the chance for them to make it in good quality.

I've tried and nothing wrong happens. Both downloads (jD & browser simultaneously) work OK.
Do you have 'java' enabled in your browser? Since jD is a java prog, maybe your browser inhibits any java activity in your system.
But... if you're using 'jDownloader' for RS links, using the browser to dw from other site makes no sense.
Just add ALL your links to jD.
I've been downloading from 5 different hosts at the same time with jD.
i.e. : 1 RS, 5 Megaup, 1 Uploaded.to, 2 ifolder, 1 deposit.
And works nice & fast in the background...

ReplyDeleteNo money problems in my case. My husband is in a good job so I sometimes can make such things happen for me.
My closer friends here in germany hear more "Heavy Metal" than AOR.
They pay no attention to this Firefest Line Up. And it`s to expensive for them to go "just for fun" or for don`t let a good friend alone.
But my boy`s birthday ist the biggest problem. We celebrate Halloween every year with a big kostume party for him. It`s my part to organisate this for him, the family and friends.
And everyone is looking forward to this event.
It`s his 14 birthday this year and I think I`ll have to wait till he don`t want to party with his old, boring parents, to go my own way on this day. ;-)
Whenever I was confrontet with festivals like this. Since my baby was born, it was never the right time!
Sad but true. :-)
I know why I have only one child! ;-)
I hope you understand my english. I know it´s not the best. School is long ago and I don`t use the language very often.

What a great discovery this guy is! Certainly one of the best gospel singers i ever heard, which is saying a lot cause the Christian scene as we all know is overflowing with vocal talent.
I don't even mind that he seems to focus entirely on ballad oriented material.
This was like a generous helping of Oreos. I only meant to sample one, but ended up devouring the whole pack. ;P
Shane Barnard's acoustic stylings are good too, though as a singer and composer he is nowhere near as exceptional as Jason Upton.
Minor linguistic footnote: It's 'self-compiled', not 'self compilated' (which frankly to me sounds unnecessarily complicated). :o)
PS: Also enjoyed your lyrical insights on the joys of experiencing music.
Surely a lot more entertaining than simply specifying 'artist - album - year', no matter what our gracious host Camelblue says.
Looking forward to your Celtic Special as well, which i'll gladly take off your hands.

I agree with you that they sound a little creepy! :-)
What I like the most on this version is the "creamy" guitar in the middle part. I think they steal a little bit from Pink Floyd`s The Wall. ;-)

You`re welcome! I`m glad I reached some people here with Jasons voice and songwriting. He is really special for me. This weekend he gives a live gig in Holland maybe two hours away from me. But how I told in my Firefest post. It`s never the right time for me. Too much to do this weekend. No chance to manage a trip to the Netherlands :-(
The promised "self-compiled" ;-) celtic compilation comes tomorrow with a bit more entertaining for you and the others who interested in personal storys about music and Ireland.

ReplyDeleteTime for some romantic input in the same vein as you offered it with the "celtic compilation" before: ALL ABOUT EVE have been great in England in the late 80s - here are their first two albums featuring the magic voice of Julianne Regan and the melodic guitars of Tim Bricheno. Dokken's Mick Brown is playing drums on the debut to my surprise. I'd call it Folk Rock, great melodies. Marty Willson-Piper, guitarist of THE CHURCH followed Tim Bricheno after these, the band took a new direction more into modern guitar-pop.
This is the right stuff for a cold winter night, dreaming about magicians and fairies. "December" is a killer rock anthem!
