I still want the Tim Moore "High Contrast" album remaster from 2003 @Rudio once/if you can eventually get your lovely hands on it (especially seen as it has that bonus track that I know that you are interested in too @Rudio - "That's The Way I See You"). You did know that I still wanted it Rudio - didn't you? I'm happy (about the White Shadows album remaster) now though, due to finding somebody had shoved a pretty good sounding remaster of it up on Youtube in recent times! If you'd like it @Rudio, please feel free to get it (but Audacity would be needed to separate the tracks).

ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see, that you didn't give up hope getting the Catherine Wheel B-Sides, seeing your renewed request last night, after so long.
At first I thought this was a female fronted country outfit, but it appears to be an alternative rock band.
I never heard of them, to be honest, so to me it's amzing that they can come up with a 6-CD-box containing B-Sides and some other rare studio/live material. There must be something good in there. And there is.
My seemingly endless search resulted in finally finding it at the end of last month, but I didn't have the opportunity to upload.
After listening to the whole bunch, the last couple of days, the time seemed right to surprise you.

Looking at Bryan Duncan's compilation discography - I see that there is this available, which is the same as the 1995 Light Years compilation! It was released during 2001 in the US! Maybe, this 2 on 1 release will be an easier find for us than the earlier compilation I requested a day or so ago!

Hey, guys! Bit of a reach here, but was hoping someone might be able to help me out. I was watching GLOW on Netflix and heard a snippet of what I'm guessing is an 1980's rock song as the girl is driving her car to an audition. I turned on closed captioning and it gave me these lyrics:

The person who originally requested the "Cherry Bombz" (Daniel) never responded to this post.
It could be he/she missed it the first time.
So I will also re-post the original comment (partly) as well:

The Cherry Bombz released a 12'' single, called "Cherry Bombz", with 5 studio songs in 1985.
In 1986 they released again a 12'' single, called "Hot Girls In Love", including the same songs as above, with the exception of the song "Pin Up Boy".
Later in 1986 they released the LP "100 Degrees In The Shade", with the same songs as the 1986 12'' single, again without the song "Pin Up Boy", but with the addition of 4 new studio songs.
In 1986 they released the live recorded LP "Coming Down Slow", containing 13 songs. This was released as CD in 1987.
In 1990 they released a CD called "House Of Ecstacy", which has the same live recording as "Coming Down Slow", but with the addition of 7 (the previously released) studio songs, except the songs "Pin Up Boy" and "Declaration".
This CD was reissued in 1996, with the same configuration of songs.
So, the complete studio recordings of The Cherry Bombz consists of only 9 officially released songs in total, 7 of which appeared on the 1990 "House Of Ecstacy" CD (Reissued in 1996).
The other two songs I manage to find on a rare/obscure Hair Metal-compilation CD from 1990.
I also added a rare, previously unreleased studio version of "Sweet Pretending". That's their 10th song.

The 1997 "Only You" album is a reissue of the 1992 "Intuition" album (that I posted some days back) with 4 additional songs.
At the time, Pauline Wilson had a promotional CD-single (not for sale) featuring "Only You" and "Only You (Like A Chapel Version)".
These 2 songs + "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" and "Last Christmas" were added to the reissued album. All other songs are the same as the original release.
