Checked, no errors.

@Rudio

(3rd try. Lest see if this time I'm not vanished :)

Hi mate; about COLD CHISEL. Probably you saw my firs "cry for helping", because the page I found with anothe "almost complete discography" has all the links dead. Finally I found (It take a long reseach) the same content of these page but in a forgotten by me research souce "rutracker". The magnet link I published is from this page, but once into the page, I got to a more complet and interesting link, THIS ONE: https://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3481516

It's the post whith the magnet I put. You're right, and I realized about that detail (o better said, lack of details), but in my defense, I thought that onece linked to the magnet, all the info will appear in the content. UNfortunatelly, I also saw that the foldes didn't inform if is a remaster or not, as the info of the post does.

After finishing the download, not too much time even for my turtle conection (I indicated that is an healthy, I try to meant good seeders), I was checking the quality. Because this is a very special band for me (I lived in Australia for a while and had even the luck to meet some of the "dis"-banded members :), and for that time enjoy the hey days of Baby Anymals), and wasting some more time getting other downloads for comparisions, I got some of the albums in FLAC. I keep the FLAC ones, but I can swear you that in this case none of them differs in quality from the mp3_320 of the initial link.

So. If your fear is wasting time for an uncertain result, I say you that don't fear that. I think that it does't take more than a couple of hours and the discography is a good one choice of the guy that uploaded it. Most of them, the best edition (1999 remasters). Just one exception: "(1998) - The last wave of summer". Not for the quality but for the edition. I have an edition fron an uncertain year (my friends dated it as 2000;2001 but probably is not a good date) with an "extra CD" with this content:
THE LAST WAVE OF SUMMER ( EXTRA )(2001)
01.Hold me
02.Child of mine
03.Small town motel blues
04 Fallen angel
05.Better time better place
06.This time round
07.Somewhere in the silence
08.By my side
09.Someone caught my eye
10.This big old car
This edition is in my collection in @128. As you know for our conversations, most of times no listenable difference (as in this case is), but as also I told you time ago, for some very special albums I'm trying to get them in 320kbps for some kind of nostalgy.
I didn't succeed in finding this special edition in 320, so, I keep the "Collector's Edition 2011" and this 2CD (I think they where published separatelly). Ah, the track list order is quite different.

Ah, for the alternatives (in FLAC or different editions) I try this resource:

http://tparser.org/Cold-Chisel

I didn't know this one, but is quite useful (at least for this research :)
I hope this helps you, Rudio :)

Thanx again for PRETTY MAIDS and... I hope you enjoy the result of the download if finally you try it.

And taking the advantage of this 3rd try... Thank you so much for IC eyes :)

@Alberto

I've waited a little while, for obvious reasons, but here's my answer to your extensive reply from yesterday.
Of which I thank you. I've taken note of your explanation.

I tried both links you supplied, but I only see albums and track lists. But no usuable downloadlink, at least for me.
And as I stated before, torrents/magnets are beyond my capabilities. And the Russian language is really not my cup of tea.

What seems to be interesting for me (according to your quality judgement) are the next 320kbps-albums:
1978 Cold Chisel (1999 Remaster)
1979 Breakfast At Sweethearts (1999 Remaster)
1980 East (1999 Remaster)
1982 Circus Animals (1999 Remaster)
1984 Twentieth Century (1999 Remaster)

Is it possible that you upload these?
It doesn't have to be tomorrow, but today would be fine.

Hahahaha, no no, just kidding. Anytime that's convenient for you.
Or maybe you would wanna check first whether more people are interested.
It's fine with me.
We'll keep in touch.

Cheers.

Do you still put all the files and passwords when you close the corner and open a new one?

If so where is it kept. I haven't seen that in a long while.

Alberto said...

@Rudio

Can't download using uTorrent? If you have personal reasons for not using it, OK, but from the magnet link showed will be very fast, and as for sure you know, once opened the magnet, you can tick just the folders (albums) you whant (so I use to do some times). I have a very slow connection, but even so, it downloaded at not lower than 500Kbps. I ask you this, because as I told you and for the reason I explained, I replaced the 320 files for APE or FLAC (even having the same quality as I told you). Of course, if you can`t or... for whatever reason don't what to use that way, just tell it to me and of course I'll upload these albums, but it will take me a little while, because I need to download them again from the magnet and upload them. In the page of rutracker the magnet link is at the bottom of the page. I don't dare to paste the direct link to the magnet because I'm affraid of "antyspam guardian", hahaha. Anyway, I wait your answer, Rudio.

Cheers

As I told you before, closed "Request & Fill Corners" are kept as "Archives" in the main blog (at the right side).
They consist of all comments, requests, links and passwords belonging to a particular Archive.

At this moment, however, the previous "Request & Fill Corner" (Archive 19) is not yet accessible.

@Camelblue

This gives me a chance to alert you of this fact.
Can you please make Archive 19 accessible via the main blog, for references.

Cheers.

So, I wait your answer again. I will be here for a while more :)

@ everyone

Just curious & asking, I'm visiting London next month, can someone suggest record stores where I can find cheap (used cds, I don't mind) hard rock AOR, 80s rock cds... Sorry for this absurd question here but I'm looking for advice.... Thanks.

Alberto said...

@Bidyut Bhuyan

It has passed long time since I don't go to London to buy music, but I'm going to tell you what I think it still being a good choice:

I bought my favourite and hard to find albums at SHADES, a record store specializing in Hard Rock unfortunately out of busines not long years ago. In the zone where was that store (SOHO) there are still several recor stores, most of them second hand. You can ask for "Tapes and Changes", there you can find for sure old and intyeresting albums. Another good place could be "Portobello".

Sorry for not having precise information, but as I tell you, I have not bought music there since long time ago.

Good haunt ;)

@Rudio

Hi mate... There have been luck. All the processes worked fine and without shuting down my computer... So, I could get very fast the albums and uploaded them in a row (I just can't believe that, because usually it takes me at least twice tries...). Well Before uploading them, I cheked if as I told you, the quality was equal than the FLAC format for which I replaced them. EQUAL, CLONES :) So... Here they are :)

Hi again...

I've been talking with a friend and he has told me that "Tapes and Changes" which was a kind of franchise..., hahaha better forget it, In which era are you living, Jurassic (he told me) XD?

OK. What I'm still up-dated is in the zone. SOHO is still being a good start point, as I told you. Now I'm going to list a few recor stores given by my friend:

- LUCKY SEVEN (at Stoke Newington Church Street). Very cheap but messy order and a little bit dirty (noy only records but also books; magazines etc). I've never been there.

- Sister Ray Records (at 34-35 Berwick St) SOHO. A very good one for me.
- BANQUET RECORDS (52 Eden St, Kingston) One of my favorites.
- RECKLESS RECORDS (30 Berwick St) SOHO. STILL ALIVE!! I bought in this store very interesting and hard to find for an reasonable price (but not specially cheap...), 1st edition Heavy-psych LPs (Sir Lord Baltimore; Writing on the wall; H.P. Lovecraft...)

Ok, mate. Good hunt :)

I'm impressed, you're faster than DHL. I hope you did go to bed last night :-)

After your first announcement of the existance of these remastered Cold Chisel albums, which I wasn't aware of, I already started seraching for it.
But searching/finding the albums seperately whould have been a time consuming affair.
Having it now from one source is far better!
I'm excited to get to listen to them.

Thanks for adding Archives 19 to the right column list.
And I think it's a good idea to leave the comments etc. as they are. And I hope it will stay that way. Very useful for references about what's been said about certain posted albums, in stead of only a dumb link.

Cheers.

@MusicDude

I really don't know what you're talking about.
Was I trying to be funny? I just helped you and explained where to find old archives. And I confirmed all comments, requests and link are still present to be read.

You requested "2011 Happy Life" from (to me unknown) Japanese fusion artist Satoshi Bandoh, formerly of the band T-Square.
It was a pleasure finding this album. What a great discovery!
Instrumental quality fusion/jazzrock, in the same league as the big guys.

I've also found (and added as extra tracks) two songs from the 2008 soundtrack "Gran Turismo 5 Prologue", which don't appear on this album, but are in the same vein.
Very recommended to everybody who loves the genre!

I know how quickly and good you were Rudio at getting me a nice clean and crisp vinyl rip of "Solero" by Patti Austin, so could you see if the other 7s I have listed above can easily be obtained. But they may be harder to obtain, due to them not being as successful chart wise as the artists and record companies probably would have liked! They are all from around the 1980s!

And is something wrong with your memory?

Do you remember the lengthy list of strange filenames where I helped you with the password.
Do you remember I explained you how to find album titles in protected RAR-files?
Do you remember how I directed you to the main blog's Archives.

And "are broken? You still can use the SEARCH THIS BLOG box at the right column, explain?" is NOT something I said, but Camelblue. Ask him about it, not me.

Read the comment before you shout anything.
And don't expect any help from me anymore.

They seem very interesting.

@Daniel

The Cherry Bombz released in 1985 a 12'' single, called "Cherry Bombz", with 5 studio songs.

In 1986 they released again a 12'' single, called "Hot Girls In Love", including the same songs as above, with the exception of the song "Pin Up Boy".

Later in 1986 they released the LP "100 Degrees In The Shade", with the same songs as the 1986 12'' single, again without the song "Pin Up Boy", but with the addition of 4 new studio songs.

In 1986 they released the live recorded LP "Coming Down Slow", containing 13 songs. This was released as CD in 1987.

In 1990 they released a CD called "House Of Ecstacy", which has the same live recording as "Coming Down Slow", but with the addition of 7 (the previously released) studio songs, except the songs "Pin Up Boy" and "Declaration".
This CD was reissued in 1996, with the same configuration of songs.

So, the complete studio recordings of The Cherry Bombz consists of only 9 officially released songs in total, 7 of which appeared on the 1990 "House Of Ecstacy" CD (Reissued in 1996):
Hot Girls In Love
100 Degrees In The Shade
Feline Feeling
Oil & Gasoline
House Of Ecstacy
Running (Back To Your Lover)
Countryfied Inner City Blues

The other two songs I manage to find on a rare/obscure Hair Metal-compilation CD from 1990:
Pin Up Boy
Declaration

I also added a rare, previously unreleased studio version of "Sweet Pretending". That's their 10th song.

Cherry Bombz - 1990 House Of Ecstacy (The Live Songs) (1996 Reissue) @256
Cherry Bombz - 1990 House Of Ecstacy (The Studio Songs +3) (1996 Reissue) @256

http://www15.zippyshare.com/v/nPiRVz0M/file.html
pw=Rudio

PS:
This might be the Japanese edition, I'm not sure. But the quality is excellent, though.
I believe The Cherry Bombz are from Finland, but correct if I'm wrong.

Checked, no errors.
Regards & enjoy!

Rudio said...

@Daniel

Oh, I forgot to say that the live concert of "The Cherry Bombz" consists of 7 songs that never were released as studio versions.

@Bando

Thanks for your appreciation.
Although it's some time ago (with an archive change and lots of comments in between) I still want to respond to your comment from the 7th of january.

Basically, blogsites post albums which they think are interesting for their visitors. As a feature, some blogsite give the opportunity for personal requests.
And the more sophisticated blogsites fullfil those requests with quality rips. Others just post something to satisfy their visitors, whatever it is, unfortunately.

What Camelblue has accomplished goes beyond that. The main blog has great albums on offer and this "Request & Fill Corner" is unique. Not to be seen on the net elsewhere and everybody should be very grateful for that.

So, I think it's quite normal that blogsites post recently (or older) released albums and occasionally fullfil requests.
But you must keep in mind, that you can't take "quick responses" (by anyone) for granted. If a requested album is hard to find, it's just that. Hard to find. Or not to be found at all.

I see it this way:
An album is posted NOT ONLY because it was requested. Such as: "We request it today and expect it to be posted tomorrow".
No no, it also depends heavily on the perseverance, passion and commitment of the contributor (or blogsite, if you want) whether he continues trying to find it. Often not sooner, most of the time later (or not at all).

If you had ordered, for instance, Al Jarreau's remastered "Breakin' Away" 7 months ago through Amazon, instead of requesting it here, you would have got it by now, probably after a few days. But because you requested it here, it can take 6, 7 months for it to be posted. Or not at all.....

Oh, and another thing: It's obvious why I didn't say I was expecting to receive the Firefall album you requested. I've made that mistake once. Generally I will never say what album(s) I am working on. If I have a requested album ready for posting, I'll post it. Not sooner.

And thanks for your remark that there'll never be anyone quite like me. But to tell you the truth.... I think I might not even tie the shoes of Camelblue.
(An expression I hope you understand).

Cheers.

You made my day, mate... Fortunately I knew the existence of this girl since the year this album was published. One of my frinds bought it and I made a copy to tape, which I still having, so, and thanx to you I can replace that old and worn cassette for your pristine and perfect copy. I have to say that there have passed years since the las time I listened it. Thank you Rudio, for refreshing my memory and giving me the opportunity of have this great album with perfect sound.

Also I want to thank you the Yazawa Eikichi album. Now I'm listening it, and smiling with the "long Nights" track. It's like a kind of "ENKA" with rhythm... hahaha. Oh well, better not translating the lyrics hahaha. Wow... now, "Yoko". Definitively... "ENKA". I love traditional ENKA. Travelling from Tokyo to Nara in the night bus, usually there was a ENKA station for tuning on board (perfect for sleeping XD).

Thank you so much, Rudio. Perfect gift! ;)

This is about "Cold Chisel - The Last Wave Of Summer".

I anticipated too late that my extensive information would (again) vanish because of the spam-tool.
My neatly formulated and informative text seems often to be a subject for removal, for a mysterious reason, only known by the spam-tool.

But, you can download this information as a seperate file.

So..... as another kind of payback, here you have this 2004 remastered version, with all the extra songs included.
A wonderful peace of Aussie rock.

To finish the Japanese discovery tour, here you have Keizoh Kawano's 2011 album "Dreams".

It was a pleasure finding this album also. Again a great discovery!
Instrumental quality fusion/jazzrock, in the same league as the big guys.
Very recommended to everybody who loves the genre!

I've also found (and added as extra track) a song from the "Gran Turismo 5 Version" soundtrack (Moon Over The Castle).
Not a part of this album, but it fits perfectly.

Hi mate... THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED fro Cold Chisel. Hahaha, seriously, you're a kind of "daily Santa" :) Much apreciated, not only your kind but your aim and will to help our requests, even passing long time after it was requested, but you don't give up and always keep on trying, keeping the list just like the brain (memory) works, keeping them at back and launching to the pole when the problem is solved. BRAVO! ;)

Well, about that misterious bonus, I think that better uploading it and so you will have a better clue about waht kind of album it is. Having a look to it and ginving a detailed thought, now I'm not quite sure that this supposedly "extra" album was a non official one but an "handmade one"..., moreover, I'm almost sure it's a bootleg one (see the artwork). As I told you, It came to me dated by 2001, but in the same way about my doubts about its official or bootleg origin, I'm also not sure about the date.

Anyway, here it is...

You can remove this 128Kbps extra CD bootleg (?) from the server, as I've downloaded it just yet.
I don't really understand why you're sending me this.

You had the 128Kbps. You wanted to replace it with a 320Kbps version. I supplied you this 320Kbps. And now you're sending me your 128Kbps copy and say enjoy.
What should I do with this 128Kbps copy, knowing that I have an excellent 320Kbps copy.

I'm sorry my friend, but the included cover artwork is self made. I have determined that in seconds. Anyone can make this artwork.
If that was you reference to the contents....

I never seen a label without a hole in the centre. Where do you push it in the tray.
I also hardly ever see typos in the text on a cover. I mean "5 Videos extras incluiding....". There are 3 typos!
And look how the tracks are situated on the cover. Very sloppy hand made.

Sorry, I really don't know what else to say.
But I still hope you'll enjoy my 320Kbps version.

Cheers.

You don't need to say nothig, Rudio, and of course, as I wrote after observing the artwork, not only that "no hole" was in the CD but not cut lines were along the sides in the back. The aim was more informative than to suply any request. I didn't have time for checking if the conten are included in the link you published, so, it was just few minutes to put this testimony to your reach, not more. And as I didn't checked if all them were included in your upload I finished with that enjoy, not more... As I have not account with zyppyshare I can't delete that link, but I don't think it will have a long "life". As you know, more times than I want, in my almost permanent state of hurry, sometimes this things happens, but for the nature of this things personally I don't think they're really important. You know that in this kind of communications the message sometimes is not so good and understandable as we wanted, so, Rudio, just don't pay it attention.

Cheers :)

@All

Please, don't pay attention to the link I published about:
Cold Chisel - 1998 The Last Wave Of Summer (Extras)@128 (not quite sure if Official or bootleg).

Sorry about that, it was, as I wrote, with informative purposes to Rudio

It's due to sipi that Rick Bowles pays us a nice little visit since he made himself Free For The Evening; which is highly appreciated for certain. The same can be said about Rudio and Eikichi Yazawa whose Flash In Japan must have came down from some sort of heaven as a natural AOR spectacle not to be missed! Rumour even has it that stains of Rudio's sweat can be spotted on the associated album cover as well. Of course, this vague suspicion might be just a myth (and remain as such), but then again, if you're envisioning all the (inner) sacrifices Rudio's amazing anecdote of his "more-than-20-hours-download-marathon" could have implied, a highly increased body heat might have been the least to deal with at that time. ;-) Anyways, sipi and Rudio, 10 felicitous points for both of you!

Bye for now,
