However, I have to say that The Pop Covers Collection is even better. Mickey Thomas' version of "Never Touch Again" is especially stunning!!

Bloody fantastic in my opinion, but sung in Italian which seems to be enough reason for most people to never give it a try.
The guy's vocals are easily on a par with those of ORO's head honcho. Got three of his CDs.
'Anime' is glossy pop rock verging on pure AOR, 'Crescendo' is excellent slightly acoustic tinged melodic rock and 'Siamo Nati Liberi' is classy AOR (light) with a westcoast feel sporting several superb power ballads.

Never said it would be an objective list. It's a list of classic favorites the way i see it. A lot of albums other folks would consider classics didn't quite make the cut by the narrowest of margins.

I wouldn't call John O'Banion's 'Danger' the perfect album by the way. 4 or 5 standout tracks (none as good as 'I Need Love'), the rest is merely very entertaining.
I do like it a little more than 'White Light' however, so it definitely deserves a mention on my classics list.

@camelblue: I'm just done listening to Toshiki Kadomatsu's "Sea Is A Lady". It's fantastic, just like what I expected. Previously I was always under impression that this album is an instrumental album.... I guess my prediction was correct (although there are few vocal passages on Lovin' You, for example). The fact that it's an all instrumental affair is a good thing for me, cos I've always been underwhelmed by Mr. Kadomatsu's vocals. It's not bad (for Japanese standard), but compared to those vocalists on the Pop & Ballad Covers Collection, well you know who the better ones are :)

I don't recall there being (m)any AOR songs in the 'Fame' tv series apart from Agent's 'I Can't Hold Back', even though i watched this show religiously back in the '80s.
But i must say there are quite a few in this collection that sound really familiar. Brings back memories of a.o. Cynthia Gibb, which is never a bad thing. ;P
On an unrelated note: Can someone please post 91 Suite's 'Times They Change' for me and anyone else who missed it?

No, i didn't know. I don't like wma's much, and it's hard to tell their sound quality apart from their counterpart 128s.
So a higher bitrate rip of Jim Foster's 'Powerlines' would be greatly appreciated.
And how about those One Two albums? Still don't have 'Getting Better' and the 128 kbps wma of 'Hvide Logne' sounds subpar frankly.

I accidentally found out about a trick for Megaupload users (premium and non premium - I think) in order to download much faster and with no hassle. In every download link you copy the following
mgr_dl.php
and then you paste it before the question mark (?).
I tried it and it works!
Gurol, try it out, maybe it'll make Megaupload work for you.
I don't know about any possible consequences though so if you do it do it at your own risk!

Just paste in the RS link and they download it for you then give you a link for you to then download the RS file from then,hope this helps
PS have noticed on the odd occasion when you click the link to download the file it sometimes says "file not found" but just seems to be a matter of hitting the back button and then the download link again

Anyway, Rapidsharze doesn't seem such an ideal solution. It doubles the waiting time: you gotta upload everything before you can download.
Only helps if Rapidshare is completely uncooperative.
