Agree, 'Dancin' On The Ice' is a killer pure AOR tune, penned by the best 80's songwriter (imho): Bob Halligan Jr.
btw, the link posted as "White Knuckle Ride CD" isn't the remastered reissue by Renaissance Records, just the cheap CDR released by the band, and sounds horrible (not your fault 80sAOR).
But the bootleg "Duke Jupiter - Ritter Amphitheatre,Huntington,WV '84" it's highly recommended (got a 192K rip), good FM recording.

Several messages from both of them actually. Bettie asked me of all people how to reach Kristina because she has written another song she would like her to perform, so i told Kristina to drop her a line and she did.
Kristina's doing gospel/christian music now and is no longer in touch with any of her former band members, nor with Diana DeWitt or Robin and Judithe Randall.
They were both thrilled that i had uploaded a song of theirs. :o)

There is an AOR band new to the Retrospect Records roster who have released an album called 'The Good, The Bad & The Ugly'.
So it's got nothing to do with said legendary Sergio Leone western. Which happens to ROCK as well (almost as much as 'Once Upon A Time In The West').
And yes, Ennio Morricone is a genius, so i think i'll grab that movie score you posted anyway. Thanks.

You probably know the story about guitarist Vinnie Vincent, who was in KISS for a short time. After leaving that band he formed Vinnie Vincent Invasion, which released two albums - a self-titled album in 1986 with Robert Fleischman on vocals, and All Systems Go in 1988 with Mark Slaughter (later singer for Slaughter) on vocals. After Slaughter left, Fleischman came back, and the band recorded material for a third album, Guitars from Hell. But the album company went bankrupt and it was never released. This is a bootleg copy of the record, which (as you'd imagine from Vincent) has awesome shredding guitars. As a bonus the last track is from 1987 and has the amazing Jeff Scott Soto on vocals.

Just listened to most of Transatlantic's new album and it's great indeed (superb musicianship, especially the lead guitars), only the songs are too intricate and long-winded to be instantly memorable -- a problem typical of most contemporary prog rock.
I've got their 'Bridge Across Forever' CD which was also excellent, but can't remember it well enough to determine which of the two is better.
Why did you divorce this Vaggelis (Vangelis?) dude if he's still your bffl? Irreconcilable differences or did he turn out to be cleverly disguised drag queen?
