@Rudio.

Thank you my friend for all your efforts ;)

You see...? It was a technical problem, just that. ;)

Thanx again. Keep rocking :)

@Camelblue. Thank you mate. Whithout you (obvoiusly...) this couldn't be possible. I'll respect the pattern you ask us for (I think I always do this way :)

Rudio said...

@Alberto

Yeah, well, technical problem or not, the fact that my comment (that I found important enough to publish) has first disappeared four times in a row, before it became visible at last, and I finally got the opportunity to draw the attention to the downloaders involved, is now reversed due to the transition to a new archive. How many users, I tried to reach, will notice it now?

@Rudio.

I agree with you about this problem. It always happens when turns a "page" or... even worse, turning a different archive... Anyway these are the limitations of this format... and we have to handle with this, It's my oppinion. It happens to me (and of course the rest of the guys) that our past requests hardly can be supplied when they are "hidden" in a different page. So, as I tell you (and repeat, It's my thought) we don't have other chance that repeat the request or... our help...

Rudio, what can we do? Anyway, we'll enjoy the "brotherhood" of this great place and enjoy what we can...

Cheers Rudio and thanx again mate ;)

Hey Guys!

I have a couple of requests for some very rare Juno Roxas songs.....

Almost Summer - CD Single (1993)
The Relationship Song - Eternity CD Single (1994)

I'd also be pretty keen on a decent rip of the song "Don't Stop" (Roxus)
I know Camel has released it in the past on his Roxus Comp, but I was hoping that there was a better quality one out there.....

Cheers & Many Thanx in advance!!!!

Dan.

@Camelblue

Is it possible that you add in addition to
< Newest>>
a possibility to quickly change to the previous archive's last page?

It might be handy if one is looking for an older request.

Camelblue said...

@ Rudio:
It is not possible in Bl0gger, sorry. But I think it's better this way as it encourages people to drop fresh requests and keep this section active.

I'd also like the expanded release of Phyllis Hyman's "Goddess Of Love" please someone, as well as the 2015 japan remasters of the Chris Rea albums, "New Light Through Old Windows" and "Deltics" and "On The Beach".

Rudio said...

@Camelblue

Oke, I understand.
But many users (like myself) like to take a look at the previous Archive (18 in this case) to find the requests they might be able to fulfill or have been 'working' on to find.
So it would be nice if Archive 18 will be open (for a longer period) with all comments and not only the posted links.

By the way: If I click on ARCHIVES 18 via your website, I get a totally different archive, but not the previous one.
I wanted you to know, in case you haven't noticed it.
Cheers.

My earlier upload of "Maloy - 2003 Malloy 88" has been updated, because of one missing track.

Just for my peace of mind I refer people who have downloaded this album BEFORE july 31, to read my comment in "Archives 18, on July 31, 2016 10:01 PM".

Start Camelblue's website, click ARCHIVES 18, skip to the last page (newest) and find the date.
From now on, I leave this subject for what it is.

Here is the Gowan album you want (not what you actually are looking for :-)).
Although the artwork is part of the Algae reissue (I couldn't find anything else), this is a Japanese remaster.
And it sounds (much) better then the reissue. Trust me.

Rudio, I just have not enough words to thank you. But, mate..., where the hell have you digged to find it? I've been trying to for YEARS! Well... OK. I found it three or four years ago, but It was in the crashed HD..., and since the "crash" I've try hard to find a working link with none kind of success, and, well..., I'm not Indiana Jones but neither I'm a dummy... So, Rudio..., please tell me you've not needed sell your soul... ha, ha, ha... Thank you friend, thank you, probably this is one of the more sought after albums for me (I have the vinyl...).

About Gowan... Astonishing and pristine sound. A little bit different from my vinyl rip but this is normal and very pleasant for me to have two versions.

Thank you Rudio Jones ;)

I want to thank you with a upload of the only track I could get untill now. This track (the second one of the album) is probably my favourite, and the reason to upload it is because the signal is "better?". I don't know if this difference was edited or... was because a different rip, but anyway... here it is...

Yes Rudio, this album is a REAL and very underrated GEM ;)

Here is the track:

HERETIX - Climb to Begin (1990)/128 Kbps

I really encourage to everybody to get the full album that Rudio has upload to us. A MUST HAVE, A GEM

Hi Camelblue. This is again about my answer to Rudio:

I've tried twice, just to see if changing some words the "filter" could be passed. No success... :(

So, I know that when this problem happens It's better to give up and see if the blog-master considere to publish it.

Camelblue, could you see if my post is suitable to publish it? Thank you so much and sorry for bothering :)

Rudio said...

@Alberto

You're not bothering anybody at all!
I think the spam-tool is triggered too fast. Let's say too sharp adjusted.
Nowadays I make always backups of all my comments and check regularly that they are really published and not be deleted shortly afterwards.
It's a pity having to act that way.

Typically: There is a statement that "Anonymous posts will be ignored", but they stay published.

Rudio said...

There is also a statement by Camelblue "Please do not re-direct users to other sites to find the requested file, just put the direct link here (mention the source if you want), or grab it and upload it by yourself".

But still Xerec is re-directing 'Boomington' to his own site.
He could just as easily give the direct link voor Tom Johnston: http://www.solidfiles.com/v/62GDpDyQVzKWY

Yes mate. I always use to follow the instructions and rules, and not being perfect I try to do. Anyway I understand that this is an open blog and between old members and new ones is very difficult to get an suitable control and an stable criteria. Trust me Rudio, I understand your thought, and I'll also like that desired uniform criteria for this blog, but... this is the human condition mate, nobody is perfect and some of us are quite reticent to follow certain rules. So, be patient, comprehensive and... Well, worse things we have to manage and with no compensations. Ok, Xerec links us to his blog, at first It seemed to me quite extrange as Camelblue's rules, but... finally I thought, It is ver easy and fast, and once you get into his blog realizes that there is a large list of very interesting albums, so... two for one. I think that is to Camelblue who corresponds to warn to Xerec and not us, but this is my oppinion, Rudio :) There are users with a criteria about sharing much more tricky than Xerec to my oppinion, as they ask for an "e-mail" and they will give the link in the answer. This last way is for me much more inappropriate, and even knowing that this guy has a large collection with some albums really hard to find, and is fair to say that always give you the answer with the link, it's so complicate to me that use to pass and look for by other way.

What I try to say, Rudio, is that don't be so estrict mate. Camelblue is the blog-master and this things is he who has to manage... Anyway, of course we should follow the rules as far as we can and don't break them because other ones do it... :)

Let's enjoy the blog and the kindness brotherhood of everybody in the differents ways we do.

I just hope that my poor and horrible english will be enough to transmit my thought about this, and if I misunderstood you, sorry :)

Sorry guys for this "Brobdinagian" post and thanx for all your help ;)

Wow, it took a while, but finally your original response is restored. (I can not find anything that would have triggered the you-know-what)
I was a bit annoyed and irritated because your comment just didn't re-appear. That's the reason I complained about a few things.

Ok, back to what it's all about.
Your uploaded track ("Climb To Begin") is obviously a different rip. In fact, it's a vinyl rip (hence the tick 2'04). So it's ripped through the PC's soundcard with probably adjusted volume at high settings.
If it's better then 'mine'? I can't say. It's certainly louder.

The album has been downloaded 12 times until now. So, others were interested also :-)

And the answer to "the how": I've friends/buddies all over the world plus of course my own collection.

PS:
In a couple of minutes there will be another comment directed to you. Stay tuned.

Bye.

So I never listened to "A Passion Play" before.
Now I did. And I think it's a great album.

This remaster/remix (by Steven Wilson) sounds so good, that I don't feel the need to listen to any other version, remastered or not.

The 40th Ann. Remaster is released as a double-CD, but CD2, being "The Chateau d'Herouville Sessions" could easily have been an album in its own right.
That's why I split this double-CD in two seperate CD's. The other reason is due to upload limitations.
I named them as follows:

CD1 Jethro Tull - A Passion Play (2014 40th Ann Remaster Steven Wilson Remix) (1973) / 320K
http://www49.zippyshare.com/v/HunHcMb9/file.html
CD2 Jethro Tull - The Chateau d'Herouville Sessions (2014 40th Ann Remaster Steven Wilson Remix) (1973) / 320K

Checked, no errors.

Enjoy!

Ha ha ha, as you told me, miracles do happen... (well not this time, I think has been Camelblue). Anyway and as you say, I didn't find reasons for being "triggered".

Well, OK, I didn't realized that was an vinyl rip as I didn't pay so detained attention like you (talking about HERETIX's track Climb To Begin I uploaded), but It's a good one. Any way louder not always means better but distorted (not this time). Some times record labels claim "remasters" but that remasters are just louder signal editions (and sometimes distorted). Anyway your uploaded one is just amazing. I've played this album 4 or five times since you uploaded it, and It is now a permanent inhabitant of my mp3-walkman :) 12 times downloaded? Congratulation but It deserves much more attention, seriously guys HERETIX's Gods & Gangsters is a "MUST HAVE".

WOW... While I was writing this coment you was giving me a new gift. Thank you Rudio, this time even more because of your no so fond of JETHRO TULL. Nothing to add to your comment about Steven Wilson's remaster, JUST AMAZING.

Rudio, I knew the reason of your complains and as I told you I agree with you. Sometimes we don't understand why both right and not so right behaviours about settled rules get same "prize", and... some times happens that the "sanction" lays to the right one :). I think that in some ways we have a quite similar attitude and point of view ;)

Thank you so much, Rudio (and sorry for my very bad english, but I preffer not using translators) :)

Does anyone have "The Outfield - Playlist the Very Best of The Outfield" in MP3 @ 320?

Thanks in Advance!

Alberto said...

@Rudio (and everybody interested)

This is about rips and encoders

I'm trying to get my all time favorites in 320Kbps as most of them have been lost in a HD crash, and the rest which are in 128Kbps for having them in the same quality. This time was about Q5 albums, I was looking for "When the mirrors Cracks", and I've found a 192Kbps link, When I compared the 192 from 128 before deleting the 128... I realized that the 128 has a louder signal and equal quality... Can any one of you give me an explanation about how coming from the same page (different dates) are so different? Have the album been edited?

I'm goig to put two different links for Q5 - When the mirror cracks and I'm almost sure that I got it from this link, so... Why so different signal?

Q5 - When the mirror cracks (1986) (2000 remaster+1Bonus)/192Kbps (from: http://bm-80smetal.blogspot.com.es)
http://www21.zippyshare.com/v/53732212/file.html

Q5 - When the mirror cracks (1986) (2000 remaster+1Bonus)/128Kbps (re-encoded and uploaded by me)
http://www2.zippyshare.com/v/E3Hdp3FR/file.html

Ah, If some of you have it in 320Kbps and could share it, I'll thank you :)

Thank you guys and... who didn't have this GEM, enjoy ;)

If so, do you still want it?

Do you have the other Chris Rea Remasters too that I require like "Deltics" and "On The Beach" remasters Rudio whilst you're about it? I don't think "Water Sign","Wired To The Moon" or the 1980 "Chris Rea" albums have had the same remaster treatment for all I know, hence why I didn't ask for them. Though if they had, I'd have added them to my Chris Rea remaster wish list immediately!!

Rudio said...

@Sophie

No, I don't have any of those. But maybe they will pop up someday. Or someone else have them.

@Alberto

Q5 differences.
I will get back to you about this subject asap.
And I will try finding a 320K remastered copy.

Bye.

Alberto said...

@Sophie and Rudio

Hi, I've downloaded the Chris Real album just to see the differences with my copy. The signal is clearly louder. Now I can't do a detailed listening to see if the quality is really better or is just the louder signal the difference, because the time in my country now is not quite appropriate and the neighbours will call the army... ha ha ha.

I did a quick search to see and I've found a guy in Amazon who writes this about the 2015 edition.

https://www.amazon.com/review/R29WJ4ZUTTAV77/ref=cm_cr_dp_title/157-4419893-9827423?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B003UJ7N5I&channel=detail-glance&nodeID=5174&store=music

I don't know from which edition is he comparing, but as you can see, he says that the 2015 is just a repress. I don't know about any remastering edition of Chris Rea albums, but this doesn't means nothing as I didn't worry so much of searching better editions than I have of Chris Rea. If there are remastering editions it will be great, I love some of the Rea's albums.

Thanx Rudio for everything.

@Alberto

I've read the Amazon review you pointed out, but I don't know exactly what the reviewer means by "...absolutely no indication of any remastering...". Didn't he hear it or didn't he see it on the cover?

When I listened to my copy it sounded remastered to me. Absolutely. It still does.
I told Sophie that I was pretty sure it is the Japanese remaster. Maybe I was exaggerating a bit, I should have said that I wasn't sure about that at all. My fault. But remastered it is!

I also found "On The Beach", which had an indication that it came from the 2010 Original Albums Series-box. From the 5 albums I picked this one. The volume was very, very low compared to the "New Light...." album. I didn't even bother to keep it for myself.

From my own experience I know that genuine remastered albums (if properly ripped) from Rhino, Rock Candy, YesterRock and a few more, as well as SACD/SHMCD sound great. But I've also had albums from lesser known/unknown sources that sounded awful. Much too much distortion. It happens, unfortunately.

I remember the remastered albums from ZZ Top, which had a boosted bass and drums with lots of echo put in the mix. Terrible. Luckaly they corrected this mistake by putting the right remasters a few years later.

Cheers.

Alberto said...

@Rudio and Sophie

About CHRIS REA - New Light Through Old Windows. I've checked with my poor tools and in my oppinion they did a great job with this remaster, not so about quality sound which was lower in singal but clear and well balanced but putting a higher signal and keeping the good balance. GREAT REMASTER not only louder sound as some other remasters.

Ha ha ha. Yes Rudio. About ZZ TOP I had the same oppinion. It's the same with some Iron Maiden and Gowan albums, and of course with many others which now don't come up to my mind...

Yes Rudio, I agree with your tip abut the great importance of doing a properly rip. I think (It's my particular oppinion...) that is more important than the difference between a 128 Kbps and 320 Kbps compression. I have 128 Kbps sounding much better taht other direct rips to 320 Kbps, and being the same edition, the only logical answer, is that the CD was not properly ripped.

Thank you and cheers Rudio

Rudio said...

@Alberto

And now, as a logical follow-up...
Q5 Differences

I think that the explanation is as simple as obvious.
Your 128K copy is the remastered version, while your 192K copy is probably the original 1st pressing, at least part of it.

And I can imagine your troubling mind.
At first "look" one would probably delete the 128K version for it's messy tagging and low bitrate. But a closer listen wil learn that your 128K copy sounds significantly better/louder then the 192k copy. I mean, how much better than this can it be? Yeah, if it was directly ripped to 320K, of course.

You must have noticed (like me), that the volume on the 192K copy varies.
Most songs are low on the volume and a few songs sound almost the same as on the 128K copy.
It looks like the 192K copy is an album compiled from at least 2 different download sources.
And there's one track (08 I Can't Wait) on the 192K copy that stops in the middle of the song, lacking the last 2 minutes or so.

If I were you I would keep the 128K copy (Actually I will :-) and wait till there comes a good quality 320K copy along.

There is a user who frequently asks for a 256K/320K copy for broadcast purpose.
And I can understand him completely, but a higher bitrate doesn't always imply automatically a better quality, as your two copies proof. And I have had dozens of those examples that have proven me.

Another thing: In general some people are very sloppy if it comes to giving an album the right(ful) title. And the correct tagging is also desirable and often overlooked/forgotten/messed up. It's really hard to find remastered copies in the first place, if the indication of it, is not put in the album's title.

And the last thing I can think of right now is re-converting. I've known a guy who has a habit of re-converting genuine 320K copies downwards to 128K, just to save HD space. It's a shame, really! But such 128K copy, if remastered, will still sound better than a genuine 320K non-remastered copy.

Complicated? Yes.

Bye.

Alberto said...

It's nice and a freshly surprise find people like you, not being tossed by the waves of the masses-tought, but questioning everything proving if it's truth or just spam (I'm not sure to have success in expressing my thought in english, sorry about that).

Yes Rudio, I thouth the same about the ununiform quality of the tracks in my Q5 album.

Thank you for your clear answer and, Rudio, I real pleasure to meet you, mate :)

This one's a bit tricky.
Normally I don't upload vinyl-rips, but because you want it and the quality is OK, I thought let's give it a go.

No ticks, clicks, rumble or noise. Just a few soft crackles can be heard (But you have to listen closely!).
Only the intro of "05 Heart Of Mine" is questionable. What you hear might be a typical vinyl-rip sound, but it might as well be originally in the mix and meant to be.

Hi Rudio & Alberto,

With regards to Multi-Story - Through Your Eyes, I also had a vinyl rip but this was 'Matched' by Amazon Music when I uploaded the album as they sell the mp3 of the album. Therefore, hopefully this is a cleaner digital version than your vinyl rip, there is certainly no issue with the intro for Track 5. Hopefully this is an improvement in quality for both of you.

Hi everyone,

many years ago, in the early 1980s to be precise, a cool chap (as it seems) named Billy Patrick gave his stunning debut with exactly this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nki5LGOxplc

In my humble opinion, Come On And Come sounds like a pretty great example of the upcoming AOR wave at the time, and so I wonder if there had ever an album been released by this promising guy. Because in contrary to the given Youtube clip which suggests the existence of a full album release sometime in the starting '80s , his discography (at Discogs), however, only reveals the two songs Runaway and the aforementioned Come On And Come, both to be found on the Runaway 7 Inch Single release in 1981.

If anyone out there is capable of solving this little riddle and knows if - and where - the associated album can be located somewhere within the blogosphere (or beyond), it would be highly appreciated.

Bye for now,
Thomas

The sound of the vinyl rip is definitely more vibrant (as they usually are!), I just compared 'Heart Of Mine' as it's my favourite track & the vinyl rip is much more detailed & up front. I guess the 'nirvana' would be if Camel did one of his incredible 'remastering' jobs on your vinyl rip but we all know how busy he is!

Oh my God... Rudio, mate... what can I say... I ALMOST CRIED TEARS OF JOY WHEN I LISTENED JUST THE FIRST SECONDS OF THIS 40th ann ed!!! It has been the same joy than the very FIRST time I listened the album (vinyl). Friend... I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE WHAT I AM FEELING NOW (2nd time I listen it). It becomes the listening of the week (month... Oh mate, WHAT AN ALBUM!).

In the other hand... Ha ha ha... Rudio, we are sharing in the Hogwarts blog... It's pure magic. Appears and disappear... but never loses the post you've written... ;) Anyway, Rudio... I love this blog with all its peculiarities. I've meet really nice people, I've been gifted with almost all my requests and sadly I've not corresponded in the same way I've been paid... some times because my copy doesn't fit the standard requested (with some albums I had the same bad decision than those friend of you about the 128 K... in my defense just saying that before deleting the 320 one I tested, that at least to my hears, the quality was the same (not testing the signal with a program, of course). I can say that I have a good hearing sense, if I find the most small difference I always keep the original;). Any way, with my "MUST HAVE" list, all of them are in the highest quality even not having difference in case of downgrading to 128.

Ah, About this very personal option (I mean, Kbps quality), firstly I never blamed nor criticised the opinion and option of anybody; second one, and the thing I want to say to you, Rudio, is about "Think as a Brick". I have the 25th annyversary edition in 320Kbps and... from a different source downgraded from 320 to 128 by me. I keep both because... the 128 sounds far better than the 320, so, again... being the same edition source I dare to say, untill somebody with real knowledge and professional experience in this business shows me the real difference, I dare to say that the quality depends more of a suitable rip than the bitrate. I've worked as "sound technician for bands like "Baron Rojo", "Heroes del Silencio" and "Muro" all quite famous spanish bands, and not being a genious I have some criteria and habilities... ;)). Of course, There is not need nobody tell me that if you test them with a program, the signal difference will be noticed at first sight, but... listening it and for human "measures", even with a very good walkman player (MEIZU M6) and a good headphones, just a few albums I had to keep the highest bitrate.

Rudio, this text has cost a great effort for my horrible english and I'm not quite sure that you understand what I want to transmit, but is my best... So, sorry if I didn't be able to...

Anyway, Thank you my friend. This album is a GEM, and this edition the jewel of the crown ;)

@ EVERYONE

I'm looking for The Syndicate's only album "Keep", released back in 1989.
As it's intended for radio broadcast, a minimum 256kbps rip is required.
Artwork is not a must, but definitely a plus.
Thanx in advance for the usual attention

It's very nice the way you react to all kinds of things.
And there's nothing wrong with your English. It's perfectly understandable :-)

I realize now that I never really said "Thank you" for some great albums/groups, which I started looking for (and found), as a result of your requests.
For instance Heretix. Never heard of them befor. A great album to have. (26 times downloaded until now).

Because of your requests I also became more interested (again) in Jethro Tull. "Passion Play"... I'm glad to have it. And of course the fantastic remaster/remix of "Thick As Brick". I had given up hope ever finding such great sounding version.

As a matter of facts... this counts for many other users whose requests were fulfilled and I also profited. The strength of this RequestCorner, I suppose.

Well, my friend, there's more for you in store. Stay tuned.

Cheerio.

Sorry, I leave for a while I'll keep listening to Jethro Tull's Thick as a Brick ha ha ha ;)

I'll stay tuned, my friend :)

Speaking about the usefulness of these pages, there's another remarkable thing: Carl Anderson was requested by one (1) user. It's been downloaded 130 times.
And I like to see that happening :-)

Awesome, Rudio, awesome! ;)
OK, Rudio, who requested the album was I, but who found and brought it to us were you... Congratularions to all the guys around this blog. We all win ;)

HERETIX published two more albums, I had the complete discography (as you know I lost a lot of music in my HD crash, what is very difficult it will happens again as I have two HD for back up all the music...). I don't remember if the other two albums reach the same quality of G & G... (I barely remember, but I think that no being bad albums, they are not so damn good as G&G...)

Here is the copmplete Discography (just info)
http://www.allmusic.com/album/ad-mw0000201019

I'm not particularly requesting them as with Gagsters and Gods I'm one of the happiest guys in this blog... ha ha ha, but if somebody have them or find them and wants share them... I think that will be welcome for most of us :)

Thanx Rudio, you rocks ;)

Yesterday you were refering to an assumed upload of mine concerning Tom Johnstone.
A little rectification: That was not my upload.

You're right that you THINK you already found the Tom Johnston (that you still needed), by googling 'Xerec'.

But you should be cautious before spreading the news and posting the link here, and listen first to this download, because it's a vinyl rip.
In fact it's the vinyl rip you DID not want.

I just wanted you (and others who read your comment) to know!

Maybe Vance wants it.
But on second thoughts... I think he won't. He thinks already having found what he was gaining for.

Rudio said...

@Alberto

Yes, I know there are 3 other Heretix albums.
The loose tracks I foud (and added as extra tracks to the "Gods & Gangsters" album) are apparently coming from those other albums.

"Always Darkest", "Mad Donna", "Season Of The Witch" & "World Full Of Tears" from 1989 A.D.
"My Favorite Hooker" from 1991 Continuous Soft Hits On The Head
"Taste" & "Liquid California" from 1993 Adventures Of Superdevil

But you know al this.

What I didn't know is that you requested Carl Anderson. Must have been before I joined this RequestCorner (or your request vanished along the way :-).
Anyway, I uploaded his album as a result of Skello's request.

Talking about Skello...

Rudio said...

@Skello

Some time ago you've downloaded Billy Griffin's "Be With Me (2014 Remaster)".
I wasn't really impressed by the sound of it, because I have the title track as a loose track and it just sounds better.

So I searched (and found) this 2014 remastered album with a better sound quality than you have.

You've also downloaded the 2 missing bonus tracks (which appeared only on the 2007 remaster), but those two loose tracks don't come even close to remastered quality, as you probably already have noticed yourself.
I added these 2 bonus tracks (from the original 2007 remaster and sounding much, much better) as extra tracks.

@Rudio

Hi mate. Yes..., It's a pitty I lost them, because by now it seems a more difficult quest even that the main requested "G&G", and now I could share them. The only consolation left me, is that as I told you, these albums are minor works than "G&G" (or... so I think, as my memory is a little bit fuzzy about them...) :)

About Carl Anderson, It has been a surprise as I didn't remember requested it... I've done a quick search just to see (As I told you, me and my memory... ha ha ha) and yes, I'm pretty sure that is an original request by Skello. Anyway, now the score has added one more (to at least 131 ;), as I didn't know much about Carl, and I feel curious about, so, let's have a listen ;)

About some "things", I just can`t understand when one find a "lack" of info in any post, and when he publishes its own, commit the same "lack". I what to think that is the "rush" for helping the cause of this "bugs", but...

Anyway, Rudio. A pleasure. Thanx for all your help and orderly manners helping and sharing.

Cheers :)

Rudio said...

@Alberto

Yeah, I knew Carl Anderson only by a single song. That was interesting enough to look for the whole album, which turned out to be a 2-on1-CD.
So you will be busy for a while listening to that album. But there's more....

You know that Jethro Tull's "A Passion Play" is an unbundled album with seperate tracks blending together, contrary to "Thick As A Brick", that has only 2 long parts.
I have had "A Passion Play" ripped in a special way, so now it also contains only 2 long parts. I like it that way (e.g. when you burn it to CD-R, you won't hear the gaps in between the seperate songs, that are normally blended trogether).
It's exactly the same album as I uploaded earlier, only this time bundled.

You don't seem to get tired of listening to Jethro Tull, so I wanted this to share with you (and others who are intersted).

Jethro Tull - A Passion Play (2014 40th Ann Remaster Steven Wilson Remix, Bundled) (1973) / 320K
http://www100.zippyshare.com/v/KfpJXD34/file.html
Jethro Tull - The Chateau d'Herouville Sessions (2014 40th Ann Remaster Steven Wilson Remix, Bundled) (1973) / 320K
http://www23.zippyshare.com/v/5Qry3rwr/file.html
pw=Rudio

Be cautious by unpacking these two rar-files, as it might exceed the maximum length.
Windows has a habit of nesting its folders pretty deep. Of course I don't know what download-folder people use. I advise to create a folder on the root (e.g. C:\Download) and redirect the download in that folder, to avoid any complications.

Checked, no errors.

Enjoy ! (One more time :-)

Well... Carl Anderson listened and ejoyed during my workout. Great albums that brings me great memories: images, smells and colours what can't be described, just feelings. It's not indeed my favourite music style, but music as David Bowie said is sound and vision, and... what can I say, mate... Lovely these albums, so lovely is the fulfilled Skellos's request (Billy Griffin), what a voice my friend... ;)

Agree with you about "A passion play". I have the original vinyl (1st ed) and what you say is right the truth. I had also a version with just two tracks from this blog: "orfeoprog.blogspot.com.es", but after getting your upload I'll delete it, It has a poor signal comparing with yours. So... THANK YOU, Rudio... ha ha ha... no, I never fed up listening Jethro Tull. As I told you at beginning this post, I think that for almost all of us, music is the soundtrack of our lifes, and... it bring back more faithfully than anything, good an bad memories, and... nowadays is a good refuge... :)

Ah, don't worry about length... I realized about it and I use to unpack this kind of files in C:\

I see that you also enjoy "A Passion Play". Better for you than Thick as a Brick? Thank you Rudio, you rocks my friend ;)

I've already listened "A Pasion Paly". Great experience and a new incentive for listening "A Pasion Play". By the way , I have kept the old version with lower signal because the transition between pt.1 and pt.2 is more accurate, just as well that I have a security copy of all albums, as I deleted it after comparing at first sight its signal...

I just wanted to share this good feeling with you, thats all mate ;)

This kind of passion of trying always to improve or searching the best for smaller the difference was, is as I think a gift, not a "nonsense" geek... as somebody can think (and in some way I understand them...) ha ha ha

Thank you Rudio, Thank you very mush indeed :)

@Rudio & Damp Whistle:
About the Tom Johnston Still feels good rip - I think you're right. After downloading I checked for certain ticks and pops that are on the vinyl rip that I already own. Those weren't there, so the latest rip is definitely a different one, but upon listening closer on a dedicated stereo it appears to me that this is also a vinyl rip. I think it's done slightly better than the one I had before, but the downside is that it's 260 kbps, while the first one was 320 kbps.

Bummer - the search goes on, then. OTOH, could it be that the only CD issue (on Wounded Bird) was a vinyl rip as well? That wouldn't be a first.

Rudio said...

@Vance

It could be that the only CD issue (on Wounded Bird) is a transfer from analogue (vinyl) to CD. It would be rare, but it could be.
Of all the CD's I've bought (genuine pressings), there have been 2 that were taken from a vinyl-source. Just because the mastertape probably was lost.

I noticed that you were comparing vinyl-rips, to select the best. Well, good luck to you.
But clean vinyl-rips are very hard to find. It depends for sure on how people treat (or have treated) their vinyl collection. A good example is Multi-Story's "Through Your Eyes", which was discussed here not so long ago. And of course there are vinyl rips that were very well cleaned by (professional) tools, like Camelblue posted in the past.

But some people don't care (or notice it at all) when they download a vinyl-rip, good or bad.
Take for instance blogger "nuttynikki", who (and I quote) has waited years for the Pump album "Gotta Move". Now he has downloaded it and he thanked the supplier very much.
But what he has now, is just a very poor vinyl-rip, with noise, ticks and plops. And even the ripping is done poorly. There is one track where the beginning is at the end of the previous track.
I didn't even have to listen to the whole album.

But blogger "nuttynikki" never returned to this RequestCorner to tell us about the bad quality and to post a new request that he is still wanting the real CD-rip. I mean, he must have listened to what he has download by now, after so many years of waiting.
It's just a matter of what people prefer, I guess.

And you also mentioned the difference in bitrate, what obviously is important for you. I would gladly refer to the discussion about this subject on auguts 7 "Q5 Differences", which might give you some clearity.

Cheerio.

PS:
The 2 comments from "Damp Whistle" about posting the link for Pump's "Gotta Move" are deleted by the author. I wander why. Maybe Camelblue noticed the horrible quality of the vinyl-rip, hahaha.

KEVEN JORDAN: Same.(1994)--No Sign Of Rain.(1991) from the link you've posted. In fact, I only need KEVEN JORDAN: Same.(1994). Could you help me?

Thank you in advance

@Rudio
Yes you are right about the Pumps. Though I had it as a 320 rip (albeit a poor one, and assembled by someone else), I have the album in my vinyl collection, so I never really bothered about the checking the overall rip quality until now.

About Wounded Bird, they have direct access to the Atlantic, Atco, Full Moon and other subsidaries back catalogue. I would be very surprised that vinyl sources would be used.

@Damp Whistle

About your last remark: I would be surprised too.
But what I meant was that it sometimes happens with less known manufacturers.

Not checked.

I started listening to this album, but the poor quality of the recording and the frequent interaction (in Swedish?) with the crowd stopped me from listen to it as a whole.
I've found some reviews about this album (HeavyHarmonies) that aren't that good (so I'm not the only one).
But anyway...

Enjoy!

Rudio..., let me bow to you my friend... Not only for being among us with your help and mood but for your aim and will, not forgetting some small things that made really great to a person. Sorry if my words doesn`t fit in english with the sense I feel in spanish, but is sincerely what I feel.

Rudio, Is the Multy-Story album you've got, a new one...? Ha ha ha. Really, It sound AMAZING... It's really as listening a different album. Now it's playing in my stereo... Oh boy... AMAZING :))

Yes... The Alien's live album sounds, well... "no words", just sounds... And as my swedish is not so good as in my heydays... (ha ha ha). Anyway, Rudio, you got it, mate. I don't know how you manage to get it, but... Genie is an apprentice comparing to you.

Usually as I told you, I feel quite embarrased for not corresponding in a similar way, but Rudio, you like sipi and some others, play in a higher league, and me, even not being a Dummy, can't reach so deep scans ;)

Again, about Multy-Story... NO WORDS, jut joy! ;)

Thank you my friend.

So I start hunting it down and found it pretty quick.

Apart from the music itself, but with regards to the year the recordings took place, this sounds fabulous. Very well produced.
Checked, no error.

@David
Maybe you're interested in this album as well.
Although not lossless, 320K is as close as it gets to that.

Enjoy!

Thank you again, mate. I repeat word by word the thanks I gave you before. As you can imagine I tried before requesting it, but the tries I did yesterday were unsuccessful (two or thre links, I think, and all of them dead or fakes). Anyway... I bow to you, Rider of the lost album ha ha ha ;)

Ah. Talking about the MADONNA's request. Does Bando know that his request is about an unofficial compilation? Anyway, It sounds terrific, even better than the official one I have, specially the "frozen" track (my all time Madonna's favorite)

Thank Rudio :)

Thank you so much Rudio for all your help and as Alberto says - what great quality! I had ordered it from Europe last year and it never did come, as I had paid for it!! So thank you for providing for me, what never did come through in the post! Do you have any of my other music want titles by the way Rudio?
Here is a reminder of my list, if you need it! You may be just as good with these others I seek - as you prove to be a good music seeker. These others I would like, obviously I will have to try and if I like, I'll be able to go out and buy the proper CDs of them.
Michael Johnson - There Is A Breeze", (2013 remastered version)- 1973
Michael Johnson -"For All You Mad Musicians" from 1975 (some recent blogger named Percy I notice would also like this one).
Michael Johnson - "Ain't Dis Da Life" - 1977 I see he has also asked for this particular album from him besides (one of those others I want).
Michael Franks - The Dream 5 cd box set from 2011
Peter Allen - Singer Songwriter (3 cd/disc anthology) from 1999
Joan Armatrading - To The Limit (2016 reissue)
Patti Austin - "The Very Best Of the singles 1969 to 1986" (released in 2001)
Patti Austin - Best Selection
Al Jarreau L Is For Lover (remastered and expanded,
Al Jarreau - The Remastered and expanded "Heart's Horizon",
Al Jarreau - "Breakin Away" (remastered and expanded in 2015.
Cathy Dennis - 'Move To This' (Remastered and Expanded 2014)
Jaki Graham - Greatest Hits Live
ALSO Rudio mate, I shall patiently await these exciting forthcoming Phyllis Hyman's that you promised me.

Rudio said...

@Bando

Nice try :-))
Just for the record: I did not promise you or anybody else Phyllis Hyman albums.

I said to "Sophie" "that I might have found something, but that it will take some time".
And it still does.

I'm glad Madonna's Greatest Hits served you (and others) well.

Stay tuned.
Cheerio.

Bando said...

I was sure your comment implied that you had found these Phyllis's for our Sophie!
This what you wrote.... "Stay tuned. I might have found something for you, but it will take some time" Hence why I believe from that (as in how I took it), you implicated about that they'll definitely be some of her releases eventually!

Rudio said...

@Bando

And that's exactly what it implied.
I found something.... And that 'something' has an indication of being a remastered (2008/2015) version.

But the time between finding an album and having it on my hard disk, sometimes is short and another time it takes much longer. In that case I have to be patient.
And only after I have it, I can listen whether it is a genuine remastered version (like in this case) and check it for errors.

Normally I never promise anything. No promises, no debts. If I have a requested album, I will post it.

So, patience my friend, patience.
And say 'Hello' to Sophie from me :-))

Cheerio.

Hi, Don't worry about, here are people that if can will help you for sure, but, mate..., Did you read before posting (twice in two days) the rules that Camelblue set at the first lines of this thread?
[...] "Feel free to post your Request Lists, but once in awhile, not every three days or so. Please do not flood this section, keep it clear and fast.
SHARING IS CARING "
.

So be patience and let's see if you're lucky

Cheers.

Helter said...

Oh, I wasn't aware of that particular rule. The one rule I was aware of that, you try out things before you buy them, along with not being allowed to post as anonymous! I shall be more careful in future, I hadn't realised I'd posted as constantly lol Apologies! It goes to show how impatient I can prove to be, which is still something myself is working hard on to avoid being too impatient!

Thank you sipi. This is a vinyl rip, and by the moment having nothing but my own vinyl, this is better than nothid, but if there is any possibility of CD rip, it will be great. I found links with 192 Kbps, but I didn't try them because the priority I told in my request (FLAC or a 320 for this very special album).

Thank you my friend. You always helping and doing your best ;)

Hi

Still desperately looking for The Blue Max (Charisma label 1978)Lp

@Rudio - A vinyl rip of an album I have never heard is hugely appreciated I'm baffled that anyone could ask for a request and then go back and complain about it!? Why would someone do that? I appreciate every effort made by uploaders to help me hear the music I have missed! I enjoyed the Pumps album very much

oh and by the way I am not a He I am a She!

@sipi and to whom interested

About my "TROOPER" (the canadian band) requests:

I've been looking to see if I could find something with a higher bit rate, both the album "money talking (1982 )" as in the self-titled 1975 without success. Then I was struck by suspicion and, started a little checking to see if by chance these two titles had not been released on CD . BINGO! Sipi, mate, do not bother any longer to seek. I believe that with the information that can be obtained in " discogs " about his discography, is sufficient. All the rest are released on CD except these two.

The link with the info. Check the spoilers and you'll see the released formats:
https://www.discogs.com/es/artist/443709-Trooper-4

Many thanks guys, and I hope this information, unless someone proves otherwise, be useful for all you.

You requested Phyllis Hyman's 2013 compilation album "The Buddah Years".
Please see my comment to "Sophie/Bando" directly posted after this.

Phyllis Hyman
To my knowledge Phyllis Hyman never recorded an album in 1975, which you requested.

Her debut album, for Buddah Records, was "Phyllis Hyman" (1977) followed by "Sing A Song" (1978).
Shortly after its release, Buddah Records became defunct and sold off to Arista Records.

Her next album was "Somewhere In My Lifetime" (1979), which consists of 4 new songs and 6 songs taken from the "Sing A Song" album. I don't know if they were re-recorded.

What I have for you are the expanded remastered versions of:
"Phyllis Hyman" (1977)

Here I've added 4 hard to find extra tracks: "Betcha By Golly Wow (Long Version)", "Sounds Like A Love Song (Prev. Unrel. 1977 Song)", "You're The One (1977 Session Outtake)" and her non-album first single "Leavin' The Good Life Behind", all taken from compilation or other remastered albums.

"Somewhere In My Lifetime" (1979)

Here I've added also 4 hard to find extra tracks: "Sweet Music", "Love Is Free" and "Sing A Song" were all recorded for the "Sing A Song" album (1978) and are taken from the "Buddah Years" album. The fourth extra track is the single version of "Gonna Make Changes".

To make these 2 albums as complete as possible is one of the reasons why it took a bit longer to post it.

And all together, now these 2 albums consist of all her recordings for Buddah plus a few more.

Phyllis Hyman - Phyllis Hyman (2015 Remaster) (1977) / 320K

Phyllis Hyman - Somewhere In My Lifetime (2008 Remaster) (1979) / 320K

Checked, no errors.

I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did gathering it.

Yes, as you have deduced, Trooper's 'Money Talks' was never released on CD, so obtaining a FLAC version would be impossible. Universal Canada did release two compilations during 2008 and 2010, the latter features one track from the LP: 'It Comes And It Goes', but that's it.
