CAMY TODOROW - 2 Souls In 1 (1991)

Camy Todorow (Bulgary) , started his career as a smooth jazz singer .
In the early 80's was established in Germany, where she get in touch with the local Rock & Pop scene, recording background vocals on several records (i.e. Michael Bolton and George Michael).
Released several singles in the mid-80's, some of them with moderate success like "Bursting At The Seams", where QUEEN 's Roger Taylor plays drums and produced.

In 1990 she returns to Bulgaria and a year later release this album compiling all the 80's singles and a couple of new tracks.
Some of them written by Mark Spiro & Tom Kimmel among others.
Style: Melodic Rock, Rock & Pop and ballads.
The first 5 tracks (specially "Fast Lane") are true killer songs in the vein of LAOS or WITNESS.
Mega - Rare. Only released in Bulgaria.
Recommended.

Thought you will post this too. :-)
I'm glad to do you a favor as you do all the time for us. Especially the Soundtrack Compilations are famous.
By the way: I'm after the Eddie Schwartz songs from "Back to School". Do you own them?

Thanks for your BLOG. Keep on rockin'.

WOW !!! you are GREAT Camelblue (and AOR Fan !) !!! how can I thank you enough !!! I'm Looking for a long time for this Ultra hyper RARE album !!!

For Fans Of: Laos, Witness, Juliet !!!
When you talk about the very best female fronted AOR CDs of the 80s/early 90s, usually names like Witness, Saraya, Laos and Annica will pop up. Well, I have a CD from 1991 that may well put those big names to shame. Camy Todorow's 2 Souls in 1 is not only amazing, it's amazingly rare. I couldn't find it on any of the big internet CD selling sites (GEMM, Musicstack, Amazon etc.) and that's probably because this was released independently in Bulgaria back in 1991. All the lyrics are in accent-free English, and the style is highly commercial female AOR. Definitely reminds me of Robin Beck mixed with Laos, Devay and Witness. Check out "Fast Lane" by clicking here. With songwriting credits going to Tom Kimmel and Mark Spiro inside (as well as mixing and production credits on "Bursting at the Seams" to Roger Taylor of Queen), this isn't one of those CDs that features the occasional good track... it is rock solid throughout. "Fast Lane" was my immediate favorite, but the Mark Spiro co-write, "Love is War", is reminiscent of Joanna Dean and a more AOR Stevie Nicks. "Ain't Nothing Like a Heartache" is killer mid-tempo AOR that sounds like a female Journey, or The Storm with female vocals. It's one of several tracks here that would be later covered by Juliet on her Juliet CD. A hyper-rarity !!!

MANY, MANY THANKS !!!
